Watchful eye

8/9 My mother eyes Henry as he scoops the whipped cream off a milkshake at McDonald's. His lifelong passion for food has waned considerably in recent years, to the point where we've often had to coax him to eat. But on this outing, he dug in with gusto — and even asked to share our meals. I take it as a good sign.

I almost wrote, "How hilarious" but read a little first, then more, and then viewed more photos, and then went to your "about" section, then your blog, and got to know you and your brother. All in minutes. I do so feel compassion and respect for him and your respectful documentation and photo celebration of his life. Enjoyed your Peter story. She's now grown. I hope shes as colorful and bright and life loving as you guided and supported her as a child. Such a pleasure to be introduced to you as this wonderful photo blog allows. I too have written - have an unfinished novel, but love to take pictures and share the emotion they solicit. Just like poetry. Thank you for your sharing of so much.
