Waiting for lunch

This begins a new series on my brother Henry, who is developmentally delayed and mentally ill. To view earlier series, click on the links below:

1/9 Henry waits for my mother to serve lunch during one of his occasional visits to the farm. He has lived for several decades in a group home a half-hour away. His visits have been less frequent since my father died a year ago, as Henry's declining physical and mental health make it impossible for my elderly mother to handle him alone.

A quiet moment with you brother deep in his thoughts, a very human and non intrusive portrait honest and sensitive. Purely as a photograph a very well crafted piece. With the background detail behind the photograph a very special personal piece that I feel privileged to be invited to share.
