Nightmares for sure! That is scary, in a very artistic way!

31 Oct 2010 1:45pm

@David: And would you believe this resides permanently in the guest bedroom?!

Candais from Lisieux, Canada

This is the best halloween shot I've seen...very disturbing but I agree with David, very artistic.

31 Oct 2010 2:47pm

@Candais: Thanks so much!

Francesc B. from région parisienne, France

Scary... a good framing on this old cracked face. One of the best shots for Halloween for me, too.

Dolls are receptacles for love. This one has been abused but makes
a wonderful image for Halloween. Nov.2 is Mexico's day of the dead.
Well deserved spotlight, congratulations.

Barbara from Florida, United States

Terrifying and perfect image for Halloween.
The eye looks strangely real.
Congratulations on the Spotlight!

2 Nov 2010 9:00pm

@Barbara: It does look real, doesn't it? And what IS that thing that looks like worm crawling out of it?? Yikes! This actually is a detail from a larger frame. When I processed it, I realized the face was far more terrifying on its own than with the body and another antique doll next to it ...

jeffrey from Haydenville, United States

very nice!! who would have known?

2 Nov 2010 9:06pm

Shawna from Regina, Canada

Congrats on the spotlight. Is is an amazing image. Wish I took it!!

3 Nov 2010 2:34am

It has even more Ewww apeal. I didn't see the worm coming out of it's eye the first time around.
Still the best Halloween image out there! Good work.

4 Nov 2010 9:47am

Dutçh from Chicagoland, United States

This doll is amazing, I would love having one! I do have to say that eye looks very real and I am somewhere between wondering if it is just that good or you put a real eye in there. Either way.. fantastic image!

4 Nov 2010 12:04pm

@Dutçh: No Photoshop tricks -- just a high quality doll eye! Though I did up the saturation and exposure a bit on the eye to bring out the blue ...

foto-rolero54-color from Gerpinnes, Belgium
