k@ from Paris, France

A very old buddy bike, love to picture Bogie's soul riding forever the blue iron horse - can hear the sound of the wheels, krouick-krouick... ;)

@k@: ... and at the same steady pace he kept his whole life, never varying!

Lovely perspective. Good shot and good composition.

You will fondly treasure this picture. Like an old friend. Bogie's bike?

@Garfield: No, not his bike, but his spirit bike, I like to think, resting at his nephew's farm. He rode old, weathered, rusted (and often blue) bikes into the very last years of his life -- and rode them until they disintegrated. I borrowed one once and almost met my maker on a downhill! I can just see him climbing on this one ...

El pare from Barcelona, Spain

Charolotte, I like your sense of photographic composition. I love this sort of pictures, not usuals at all . This old bike today is the star.

@El pare: Thank you.

I'd just call this "Santana" too, name of Bogie's sailboat ... Like the nostalgic mood you captured so well, one can almost feel the rough surface (that's Bogie too!) from chipped paint and rust - very nice work!

@dabbler: Not the really famous Bogie, but rather my locally famous father-in-law, Bogie Thompson — but the sentiment fits all the same, and I like your reading! Thanks for sharing.
